Besides donations and contributions everyone can help maintain the Kenly Cemetery. Remember that all of us have ownership in the cemetery as a whole and that ownership requires responsibility. If you see trash in the borders or anywhere on the grounds, please take a minute and pick it up. Caretakers and volunteers cannot police the cemetery every day. Caring for our cemetery takes cooperation from everyone and is an on-going challenge. Please follow the guidelines to help maintain the Kenly Cemetery for now and the future.
Remove seasonal flowers soon after the season is over.
Please remove Christmas Flowers by March 1st
Please remove Easter Flowers by September 1st
Funeral flowers should be removed by the family within 10 days after the funeral before they dry and blow away.
Discarded flowers can be placed the white lattice bin provided at the back of the cemetery.
Do not plant permanent shrubbery or use stone or borders on your plots as it complicates clean up.
Anchor your flowers well to withstand strong winds.
The cemetery site committee may remove unsightly and strewn flowers at any time.
Any questions about the above guidelines can be directed to a board member
or by sending it to kenlycemcare@gmail.com .
